Andrew Whiston

Andrew Whiston has over 19 years of work experience in various roles related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Facilities management. Andrew is currently working at Vectura Group as the VP of EHS & Facilities, with a special focus on ESG/Sustainability. Prior to that, they served as the Director of EHS & Facilities at Vectura Group.

Before joining Vectura Group, Andrew worked at Q2 Solutions, where they held several roles, including Global Head of EHS, Facilities & Real Estate, Director of Global EHS, Facilities & Real Estate, Associate Director of Global EHS, and Global Manager of EHS & Facilities. During their time at Q2 Solutions, they oversaw all EH&S activities and supported facilities needs globally, including coordinating with parent company QuintilesIMS.

Earlier in their career, Andrew worked at Quest Diagnostics as the Global Manager of Clinical Trials EHS & Facilities and Environmental, Health, Safety and Facilities Manager. Andrew was responsible for managing EHS and facilities for the Clinical Trials business unit and implementing improvement plans for EHS systems.

Before Quest Diagnostics, Andrew worked at Catalent Pharma Solutions as an Environmental, Health and Safety Adviser, where they played a crucial role in implementing a corporate Health and Safety Management System. Andrew also fostered good working relationships with both senior management and general staff.

Andrew Whiston began their career at ThermoFisher Scientific as a Laboratory Manager, where they were responsible for supporting multiple laboratories and authoring Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.

Before their various roles in EHS and Facilities management, Andrew also had their own safety consultancy company called AJW Safety Consultancy Ltd, where they provided safety consultancy services to businesses across the South West of England, specializing in fire risk assessments.

Overall, Andrew Whiston has a diverse background in EHS and Facilities management and has demonstrated expertise in driving safety initiatives, implementing improvement plans, and fostering strong working relationships.

Andrew Whiston has a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety from RRC, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Andrew also has a Diploma Part 1 in Fire Prevention from the Fire Protection Association, completed between 2010 and 2012. In 2006 and 2007, they acquired a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Camborne College. In 2014, Andrew attended the British Standards Institution (BSI) to complete the BS OHSAS 18001 Management Systems Lead Auditor IOSH Certified Training Course.
