Varun T. has extensive work experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and commercial roles within various industries. In 2008, they were a Strategic Sourcing Manager at Sterlite Copper | Vedanta Limited. Varun then worked as Head Commodity sourcing at Hindustan Zinc Limited from 2012 to 2014, and before that, they held a role in Procurement - Service Contracts from 2009 to 2011 at the same company. From 2015 to 2015, Varun was the Manager of Coal/ Coke procurement at Hindustan Zinc. Varun later worked as a Senior Manager - MRO Procurement at Adani Ports and SEZ from 2016 to 2018. Varun joined Borosil Glass Works Ltd. in 2018 as AGM Procurement until 2019. Varun then held the position of Vice President Commercial at AU SMALL FINANCE BANK from March 2020 to September 2020. Varun served as an Associate General Manager at Borosil Renewables Ltd. from September 2020 to December 2021. Currently, they are the Head of Strategic Sourcing at Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore since January 2022.

Varun T. completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Marketing from IBS Hyderabad, from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical from the University of Rajasthan, from 2002 to 2005. In addition, they have a certification in Supply Chain Management from the Indian Institute of Management Rohtak, attained in 2018.
