Jack O'Brien

Jack O'Brien has an extensive work experience history. Jack is currently serving as the Director of Strategy in the Chairman's Office at Vedanta Resources Limited, where they are a highly empowered member of a 3-man strategy team. Their responsibilities include overseeing all business aspects, restructuring, refinancing, stakeholder management, capital allocation, and communications. Jack is also involved in Vedanta's investments in critical energy transition materials and the company's own decarbonization journey.

Prior to their current role, Jack worked at Goldman Sachs as an Executive Director, where they led a team covering Europe's largest listed Metals & Mining companies. Jack provided investment ideas to major investors globally, including long-only investors and hedge funds.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, Jack worked as a Capital Goods & Aerospace Equity analyst at Liberum - Investment Banking, Research, Sales and Trading.

Jack also has experience at HSBC Global Asset Management, where they were an Associate and Analyst in the Emerging Market Equities division. Their responsibilities included analyzing and managing HSBC's London managed EM equities funds and developing new products for the company.

Jack began their career at PwC with a Gap Year Internship and Summer Placements.
