Ehsan Esmaili

Ehsan Esmaili is a Process Development Engineer at Veeco since July 2023, focusing on laser thermal processing developments and applications, particularly in laser annealing systems. Prior experience includes a role as a Simulation Engineer at Western Digital, where Ehsan developed simulation modules for semiconductor technologies, including thermal modeling and CFD analysis. Ehsan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University, developing microfluidic technologies for biopharmaceutical processes, and completed a PhD at Cornell University, where research centered on multiphase flow systems and particle dynamics. Additional experience includes work at Virginia Tech as a Research Assistant, performing multiphase flow modeling and system measurements related to surface cleaning.
