Mehmet Gülek

Mehmet Gülek has extensive experience in software development and engineering. Mehmet is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at IAS - Industrial Application Software Türkiye since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Lunes GmbH from August 2019 to December 2020, where they designed and implemented a railway management system using C# and Designer.NET, as well as a web-based restaurant management system in Vue. Before Lunes GmbH, Mehmet worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Maxim Integrated from October 2017 to January 2019. Mehmet also worked at TurKKom Genel Müdürlüğü as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2016 to March 2017, where they administered and developed the informatics infrastructure using C#, SQL Server, and classic ASP. In addition, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Duyutek from May 2015 to February 2016, where they designed and implemented a messaging device for the hearing impaired using Java, Eclipse, and Raspberry Pi. Before that, Mehmet worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Simsoft Bilgisayar Teknolojileri LTD. STI. from November 2013 to July 2014, as a Software Engineer at Sürat Teknoloji from July 2011 to December 2011, and as a Software Engineer at EG Software from November 2009 to July 2010. Mehmet began their career as a Research Assistant at ODTÜ Bilgisayar Mühendisliği from January 2005 to September 2009, and also worked as a Parttime Analyst during that time from August 2006 to January 2007. Mehmet's earliest role was as a Software Engineer at Simetri Software from April 2004 to December 2004, where they developed web-based ERP software and designed and implemented web-based automation software for Kuran Petrol in Istanbul using ASP.NET Web Forms, C#, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Mehmet Gülek completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Engineering at Middle East Technical University from 1998 to 2003. Mehmet then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Engineering from the same university between 2004 and 2007. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification called "Golden Award Muad'Dib's" from Codility in April 2022.
