Alec Marketos has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alec began their career as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Michigan Circuit Court in 1997. After that, they worked as an Associate Attorney at The Fishman Group, specializing in labor and employment law. In 2003, Alec joined Sears Holdings Corporation, where they held multiple positions including Senior Legal Counsel and Human Resources Director. Alec played a crucial role in improving human capital scorecard, employee engagement, and maintaining a union-free workplace. In 2011, they became an Adjunct MBA Management Professor at Northern Illinois University.
Alec then moved on to Scholle IPN, a global manufacturer of flexible packaging and filling equipment. There, they served as the SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, and General Counsel. Alec led various HR functions, developed a new talent management process, and managed a team of HR professionals. In 2018, Alec joined Vehicle Service Group, A Dover Company, as the Vice President of Human Resources. Finally, in 2022, they became a member of the Board of Executive Advisors at Northern Illinois University's MBA Program.
