Merel de Vries

Merel de Vries is a seasoned communicatieadviseur with extensive experience in social domain communication, currently serving as a Communicatieadviseur Sociaal Domein at Gemeente Heemskerk and as Coördinator Pers & Publiek at Veiligheidsregio Kennemerland. From January 2006 until January 2023, Merel held the role of Communicatieadviseur at IJmond Werkt!, overseeing comprehensive internal and external communication strategies for the organization and the WerkgeversServicepunt. Additionally, Merel founded and operated Merels Fotografie from November 2011 to May 2021, specializing in creative and affordable photography services. Merel holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and has completed Lean Greenbelt and coaching courses, alongside a foundational photography program at the Fotovakschool in Amsterdam.
