Shane Velan

Shane Velan is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in information technology and strategic planning, currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Velan Inc. since May 2015. Prior roles at Velan include Vice President of Transformation and IT, where responsibilities encompassed enterprise transformation and digital initiatives, and Vice President of IT and Strategic Planning, overseeing planning and performance management. Shane's career also includes tenure at INRO as Vice President of Marketing, managing multiple global operations aspects, and earlier experience as a Software Developer at Zero-Knowledge Systems, contributing to significant standards in privacy technology. Shane holds a PhD in Computer Science and Operations Research from Université de Montréal and degrees in Civil Engineering from Queen's University.
