Cheryl Mullins has a strong background in human resources, with over 30 years of experience in various roles. Cheryl is currently the Senior Director of Human Resources at Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO), a position they have held since July 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Human Resources at Middlebury College/Institute/Schools from 2016 to 2020. From 2004 to 2016, Cheryl held multiple roles at Middlebury College/Institute/Schools, including Acting Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Benefits & Compensation Manager. Before that, they worked as the Benefits and Compensation Manager at OMYA from 1997 to 2004. Cheryl's earlier experience includes positions as a Human Resources Coordinator at Fletcher Allen Health Care (The University of Vermont Medical Center) from 1991 to 1993 and a Human Resources Manager at Merchants Bank from 1987 to 1993. Cheryl began their career at Touche Ross & Co. in various roles from 1984 to 1987.

Cheryl Mullins holds a Master's Degree in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University. Cheryl also possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus in General Business, from Castleton University. In addition to their degrees, Cheryl holds multiple certifications including the SHRM-SCP certification obtained from SHRM in December 2015, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification obtained from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2006.
