Eric Chua

Eric Chua has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Eric is currently employed at Velesto Energy Berhad, where they hold the position of Head of Strategic Marketing. Eric joined the company in July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Corporate Development from March 2022 to June 2022. From June 2020 to February 2022, they worked as the Head of Investor Relations & Sustainability. Before joining Velesto Energy Berhad, Chua was the Manager of Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation from August 2013 to September 2018. Eric also served as a Senior Analyst at Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad from July 2008 to June 2011. Chua began their career at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd as an Associate from July 2006 to February 2008.

Eric Chua attended Anglo Chinese School (Independent) from 1996 to 1999 and obtained their GCE O-Levels. Eric then studied at Sunway University College from 2001 to 2002, completing their GCE A-Levels in Accounting, Economics, Maths, and General Paper. From 2003 to 2006, Eric pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Finance, Accounting & Management at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus.
