Lakshman Raman

Lakshman Raman has a comprehensive work experience in the field of technical and maintenance operations. Lakshman'smost recent position was as the Head of Technical Department at Velesto Energy Berhad, where they managed the fleet's technical and maintenance operations, achieved high reliability and availability rates, and ensured compliance with regulations.

Prior to that, Lakshman worked as an Assistant Manager in the Technical and Maintenance department at UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad. Lakshman provided support to operations, maintained and improved preventive maintenance systems, and gave technical inputs for bid/tender documents.

Before joining UMW Oil & Gas Corporation Berhad, Lakshman was a Project Engineer at POWEN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PTE LTD, where they prepared project schedules, coordinated with site supervisors, and prepared control panel installations.

Lakshman also served as the Engineering Manager at NORR SYSTEMS PTE LTD for a year, where they oversaw engineering operations and ensured compliance with customer and marine authorities' requirements.

In their earlier career, Lakshman worked as a Project Manager, Design Manager, and Engineer at various companies, including NORR SYSTEMS PTE LTD, --, and Galvan Systems Private Limited. Lakshman was responsible for tasks such as drawing scrutiny, electrical design, and quality control.

Lakshman's career began as a Supervisor at KLIE RENTALS PTE LTD, where they supervised electrical technicians, planned workshop activities, and maintained preventive maintenance schedules.

Lakshman started their career as a Charge Hand at Keppel FELS Ltd, where they planned designated activities, installed electrical systems, and managed cable installations.

Lakshman Raman completed their education at two different institutions. From 1988 to 1991, they studied at Annamalai Polytechnic, where they obtained a Diploma in Engineering in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Later, from 2011 to 2013, they attended the University of Hertfordshire in the UK, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
