John Paul Fiore has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Legal Intern at the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners in 2016. John Paul then became a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of the Interior in 2017, where they assisted with legal research and drafting legal memoranda. Later in 2017, they worked as a Weiss Legal Fellow at the First Amendment Foundation, conducting research and providing analyses on the Sunshine Law and Public Records Act.
In 2018, Fiore joined the Florida Department of Children and Families, starting as a Florida Gubernatorial Fellow and assisting with legislative priorities and content development. John Paul then became a Legislative Specialist, reviewing policy proposals and monitoring legislation impact. Fiore then served as Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs, overseeing the Department's legislative priorities, policy proposals, and bill drafting. Finally, they were promoted to Director of Legislative Affairs, where they oversaw all aspects of the Office of Legislative Affairs and developed legislative strategies.
Currently, Fiore holds the position of Government Alliances Director at Velocity BioGroup, LLC, starting in 2023.
John Paul Fiore graduated from South Fort Myers High School in 2011 with a High School Diploma. John Paul then attended the University of Florida from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued higher education at the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law from 2015 to 2018, earning a Juris Doctor degree. Additionally, they hold a certification as an Attorney from The Florida Bar.
