Michele Harrison, MBA, PMP has a wealth of experience in the business and procurement world. Michele began their career in 2008 as an English Language Teacher at Apollo International Languages and Business School, where they prepared and delivered weekly lesson plans to kindergarten and middle school students. In 2009, they were an English Language Teacher at Shenyang Ligong University, where they were recognized for receiving highest scores on student evaluations and was offered a contract renewal despite severe budget cuts. Michele also worked as an English Language Teacher at Pattison English Language Training Center, Shenyang China, where they achieved the highest student retention rate for elementary students across all four branches. In the same year, they were an English Language Teacher at Jack’s English Training Center, where they utilized interactive games and multimedia to stimulate student interaction and developed unique lesson plans tailored to individual course needs. In 2013, they were a Marketing Fellow at Baisikeli Ugunduzi, where they exceeded sales targets both in revenue and in total sales for an introductory product, scheduled, organized and led sales and promotional events, and designed and led marketing initiatives to increase brand and product awareness. Michele was also a Market Research Intern at Bright Funds, where they participated in a successful drive to increase user sign-ups to 2000 by February 1, 2013 and conducted market research interviews to increase success of marketing and awareness campaigns. In 2014, they were a Program Manager/ Value Consultant at Ecosystems Services. In 2016, they were an Account Manager, Functional Lead, Technical Lead at Unison. Finally, in 2022, they became a Senior Manager at Velocity Procurement, where they were tasked with enabling the continuous improvement of procurement’s maturity across the mid-market.
Michele Harrison, MBA, PMP has a strong educational background. Michele earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Penn State University, with a focus in Supply Chain, Marketing and Strategic Leadership. Michele also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Penn State University, both in Anthropology. Additionally, they have obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in December 2020, and is a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.
