Phillip Webster

Phillip Webster, Ph.D., is a Scientific Community Engagement Manager and Genomic Scientist at Velsera since January 2023, previously serving as a Genomic Scientist at Seven Bridges from July 2021 to January 2023. Phillip's expertise in the R programming language and data analysis has facilitated projects with consortiums across the NIH, FDA, and various academic institutions. With a Ph.D. in Cell and Structural Biology from UT Health San Antonio (2013-2019), Phillip's postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan focused on endothelial cells' role in adipocyte dysfunction and diabetes. Earlier experiences include studying mitochondrial dysfunction in sarcopenia as a PhD candidate at UT Health San Antonio and working on neuronal stem cell growth and differentiation at the University of New Mexico. Phillip began academic research at San Diego State University, where investigation included virus-host interactions related to HIV.
