Vivek Boray

Vivek Boray has a wealth of experience in legal affairs and business affairs, having worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Vivek began their career as a Member of the Board of Directors for the American Friends of SOAS in 2014. In 2015, they joined Inventus Law India and Inventus Law as Counsel and Partner. From 2017 to 2019, they held the role of Advisor, Business Affairs at Azadi Records and Resident/DJ & Advisor, Business Affairs at boxout.fm. During this time, they also served as Director/Curator at Slingshot Festival of Music, Electronic Art and Tech and Member of the Board of Directors for the South Asian American Digital Archive (SAADA). In 2019, they became an Entrepreneur in Residence at WeWork Labs, and in 2020 they founded and became Partner of De Franceschi & Associates. Most recently, in 2021, they became General Counsel at Locus.sh, and in 2022 they will become Head of Legal Affairs and Founder of India Office at VELVET.

Vivek Boray obtained a B.A. in Vivek'story from The University of Texas at Austin between 1996 and 2000. Vivek then attended Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where they earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree in 2003. In 2005, they completed an LL.M. at SOAS University of London. Vivek obtained the California Bar certification in June 2010 and the New York Bar certification in March 2005.
