Joe Salowey

Joe Salowey has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Joe most recently worked as a Principal Software Security Engineer at Venafi starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held various positions at companies such as Salesforce, Tableau CRM, and Tableau Software where they worked as a Lead Security Engineer - Security Architecture, Lead Product Security Engineer, and Senior Product Manager - Security respectively. Joe also gained experience in the education sector as an Assistant Track and Field Coach at Ingraham High School. Additionally, they have held roles at IETF, F5 Networks, Cisco Systems, IEEE 802, and Cisco earlier in their career, contributing to various projects and working in roles such as Security Architect, Senior Software Engineer, and Technical Leader. Joe has demonstrated expertise in areas such as network security, secure development, and cryptographic algorithms.

Joe Salowey holds a Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cornell University. Joe also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution. In addition, they have a CISSP certification from (ISC)², which they obtained in July 1999.
