DJ (Lyman) Brainard, BSN, RN has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. DJ began their career in 1989 as a Territory Sales Manager for St. Jude Medical, where they were responsible for sales, marketing, and technical training of mechanical heart valves, arterial vascular grafts, and Aries Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps and Intra-aortic Counterpulsation Balloons to cardiovascular surgeons, vascular surgeons and cardiologists. During this time, they were a member of the Quota Achievers Club and achieved 102% of their quota. In 1991, they moved to Laserscope as a Sr. Regional Sales Manager, where they were responsible for sales, marketing, technical workshops and physician training of CO2, NdYag, KTP Yag, and Erbium lasers for endoscopic and cosmetic surgery for plastic, dermatology, family practice, OBGyn, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, thoracic, urology & general surgeons. In 2003, they joined Medtronic/Covidien as an Executive Territory Sales Manager, where they were responsible for sales to physicians and C level executives, marketing and physician training for extensive venous surgeries & arterial and venous anatomy with cardiovascular, vascular, interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and general surgery. DJ was also responsible for training for Registered Vascular Technologists on complete study of arterial and venous anatomy, as well as physician and staff insurance coverage training. In 2016, they joined Venclose as the Director of Clinical Education & Training and Clinical Sales Manager.

DJ (Lyman) Brainard, BSN, RN has completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2021, with a field of study in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Prior to this, they attended Burge School of Nursing, Drury University, with a field of study in Registered Nurse.
