Dr. Cheryl Travis-Johnson

Dr. Cheryl Travis-Johnson has extensive work experience in the financial services industry. Dr. Cheryl started their career at World Savings, where they served as an Assistant Vice President from 1993 to 1998. Dr. Cheryl then joined Freddie Mac as the Director of REO Sales, working from 1998 to 2008. In 2008, Dr. Travis-Johnson became the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at VRM Mortgage Services, a company specializing in REO asset management. Dr. Cheryl also took on the role of Co-Chair for the Council for Inclusion in Financial Services (CIFS) during their time at VRM Mortgage Services. In 2016, they co-founded CIFS, demonstrating their commitment to promoting inclusion in the financial services industry.

Dr. Cheryl Travis-Johnson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Mills College from 1979 to 1983. Dr. Cheryl then pursued further education at Walden University, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management between 2005 and 2007. Dr. Travis-Johnson continued their studies at Walden University and earned their Doctorate in Business Administration with an emphasis in Leadership from 2014 to 2018. Their field of study throughout their educational journey has primarily been in business administration and management.
