Buck Tharrington

Buck Tharrington is an experienced professional with a strong background in critical infrastructure, focusing on transportation, trade, and renewable energy. Currently serving as Assistant Vice President and formerly as Senior and Associate at Venn Strategies since July 2020, Buck has developed expertise in these sectors. Prior experience includes an MA candidacy at The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) from August 2018 to July 2020, and teaching English and history at Shanghai High School International Division from August 2014 to July 2017. Additional roles include research intern at the North Carolina Lieutenant Governor's Office and legislative intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. Buck holds a Master of Arts in International Economics and China Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor of Arts in Peace, War, and Defense from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a summer program in Intelligence Studies from the University of Cambridge.
