Pan Yu

Principal Scientist and Head of Perception at Venti Technologies

Pan Yu has a diverse work experience in the field of perception and autonomous vehicles. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Scientist II at the Institute for Infocomm Research, leading the Perception Team in the Autonomous Vehicle Department. They also worked as a Senior Scientist at nuTonomy from 2016 to 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they held the role of Perception team lead Singapore at nuTonomy. In 2021, they joined Gaussian Robotics as a Principal Perception Scientist. Currently, they are working at Venti Technologies as the Principal Scientist and Head of Perception. Their expertise includes sensor fusion, point cloud, perception, localization, GPU acceleration, system level design/composition, emerging development flow, automated testing, distributed architecture, CORBA, and interface definition.

Pan Yu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Architecture and Compiler Optimizations, which was obtained from the National University of Singapore from 2002 to 2008. Prior to that, Pan Yu earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Fudan University, where they studied from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, Pan Yu has obtained additional certifications, including a certificate in Machine Learning from Stanford University on Coursera in July 2016 and a Certified Scrum Master certification from Scrum Alliance in May 2017.
