Marta Perdigão Alves has a diverse work experience in various roles related to health, safety, environment, quality, and innovation. Marta Perdigão is currently working as the Head of Health & Safety and Environment at Ventient Energy since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as the HSQE Continental Europe Manager at Ventient Energy from September 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Ventient Energy, Marta worked as a Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Engineer at Boskalis, a global dredging and offshore contractor, specializing in offshore wind projects. Marta Perdigão was responsible for managing safety, health, and environmental aspects in the offshore wind industry from an engineering perspective. Their tenure at Boskalis lasted from the year 2019 to August 2021.

From 2013 to 2019, Marta worked at Siemens, a global technology company, in various positions. Marta Perdigão first served as an Environment, Health & Safety Manager in Project for Power Generation. Later, they transitioned to the role of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Innovation Support within the Business Development and Excellence team. Their responsibilities at Siemens included monitoring key performance indicators, conducting audits, managing EHS in Siemens facilities, implementing communication plans, providing induction to new employees, and overseeing innovation and R&D initiatives.

Marta's earliest work experience was as an intern member of the R&D team at YDreams, a company specializing in Natural User Interfaces and Augmented Reality. Their role there involved communication and web-marketing for projects related to the technology transition of Azores tourism. Marta Perdigão worked at YDreams from April 2012 to June 2012 as part of the UT Austin Portugal Program.

Marta Perdigão Alves has a diverse education history. Marta Perdigão started their academic journey in 2007 at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where they pursued an Integrated Master Degree in Environmental Engineering. During their time there, Marta also participated in the Erasmus program at the VSB - Technical University of Ostrava from 2010 to 2011.

In 2019, Marta attended the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) for a course called Foundations of Strategy. Marta Perdigão furthered their studies in 2023 at the Nova School of Business and Economics, where they obtained a postgraduate degree in Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Marta has acquired several certifications in various fields. Marta Perdigão completed a Project Management Course (42h) at Vantagem+, became an EHS Manager in Project (syllabus equivalent to NEBOSH, 40h) through Siemens, and obtained certification as an Internal Auditor for Integrated Management System - ISO 19011 (40h) from TÜV Rheinland Portugal. Marta Perdigão also holds a Health and Safety Certification (556h) and an Internal Auditor OSHAS 18001 (40h) certification, both from TÜV Rheinland Portugal. Marta further developed their skills through a course on Advanced Techniques in MS Excel (14h) at ATEC - Academia de Formação and Initial Training of Trainers (90h) at IEFP. Marta Perdigão completed a Leadership Course (100h) at Academia Militar (Portuguese Military Academy) and specialized in the Management and Valuation of Specific Waste Streams (25h) at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
