Karen Gill

Karen Gill has extensive experience in human resources management. Karen is currently serving as the Human Resources Director at the Ventura County Fire Department since February 2021. Previously, they held the position of HR Personnel Analyst/Certification Supervisor at the County of Ventura from May 2019 to February 2021. Prior to that, they were the HR Manager - IT Services at the County of Ventura from July 2018 to May 2019. Before joining the County of Ventura, Karen worked as a Regional Manager at the NM Department of Public Safety from October 2016 to June 2018. Additionally, they had a role as an HR Labor Specialist at the State of New Mexico/Dept of Health, however, specific dates for this role were not provided.

Karen Gill attended New Mexico State University from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science. Karen also holds a certification in SHRM-SCP, which was obtained from the institution SHRM in December 2020.
