Derek Benoit

Derek Benoit is an experienced operator in the liquefaction and petroleum industries with a career spanning nearly two decades. Currently serving as a Liquefaction DCS Operator at Venture Global LNG since October 2020, Derek previously held roles as a Liquefaction console operator and A-Operator at Cameron LNG from March 2015 to October 2020. Earlier experience includes work as an Operations outside operator at CITGO Petroleum and as a DCS Operator at Louisiana Pigment, where Derek utilized advanced monitoring systems and troubleshooting techniques. Derek began his career as an Electrician with Triad Electric and Controls, focusing on various electrical tasks within a refinery setting. Education includes attendance at Sowela Technical Community College and ABC Technical School for welding, along with a brief period at McNeese State University.
