Katrina Steffek has a long and varied work experience. In 2000, they were a Staff Member & Accountant at the Food Cooperative at UC San Diego. In 2003, they were a Research Associate, Ethnic Studies Department at the University of California San Diego. From 2004 to 2021, they held various positions at RSF Social Finance, including Chief Operating Officer & Head of People, Director of Human Resources & Staff Development, Corporate Secretary, Manager/Senior Manager of Human Resources & Organizational Culture, and Administrative Assistant/Program Associate of Advisory Services & Education Programs. In 2020, they founded Katrina Steffek Consulting & Coaching, where they advised businesses on revenue models, talent development, compensation structures, DEI, change management, and organizational development, and provided leadership coaching for executives and emerging leaders. In 2021, they joined Venture Leadership Consulting as a Senior Director of Talent Development and Strategy, Leadership, and Executive Search Consultant. Currently, they are serving as Interim Executive Director of the California Partners Project.
Katrina Steffek obtained a Master of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco School of Management between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts with Cum Laude and Departmental Honors from UC San Diego in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from 1999 to 2003. In 1998 and 1999, they obtained an International Business Certificate from Niels Brock Executive in Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, they have obtained a Certified Facilitator from FourSight in February 2022 and an Executive and Leadership Coach Training Program from the Co-Active Training Institute in February 2021.
