The Senior Finance Executive will play a crucial role in establishing and streamlining the finance operations across the group’s entities. The position will manage the day-to-day financial processes and ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations across multiple jurisdictions. This individual will take ownership of core accounting functions and support the transition from reliance on local accountants to a more centralized financial system.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded across global locations (procurement, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, etc.).

  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, including daily monitoring of bank balances and the timely transfer of funds to meet obligations.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and financial adjustments.

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements and consolidated statements) for the management team, providing actionable insights and analysis.

  • Support the Head of Finance in preparing the annual budget and forecasting, ensuring data accuracy and transparency for planning purposes.

  • Liaise with local accountants to manage the timely preparation and submission of tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) and financial statements across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Gradually reduce the company's reliance on external accountants by building internal accounting capabilities.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international financial regulations affecting the gaming industry and ensure the company meets its statutory obligations, including filing deadlines and compliance reporting.

  • Support the preparation and coordination of statutory audits, ensuring auditors have the required documentation and data.

  • Lead the implementation and optimization of accounting and financial systems, transitioning from a decentralized structure with local accountants to a more centralized, efficient approach.

  • Develop and document internal finance processes to ensure consistency and accuracy across the company’s entities.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure financial integrity.

  • Review financial terms in agreements with third parties (suppliers, service providers, etc.), ensuring compliance with company policies, appropriate pricing, payment schedules, and tax considerations.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in finance roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., gambling, financial services).

  • Relevant certifications (ACCA, CIMA, etc.) is a plus.

  • Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS, GAPSME).

  • Tax and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with tax laws, VAT regulations, and statutory reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Hands-on Approach: Willingness to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the finance department, especially in a growing company.

  • Analytical Skills: Capable of analysing financial data, identifying trends, and making recommendations based on insights.

  • Operational Efficiency: Ability to optimize finance processes and systems, driving improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
