Jaakko Salonen

Jaakko Salonen has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2015 with a role as an Editor in Chief at Poleemi. Jaakko then worked as a Communications Coordinator at the Finnish Institute in Madrid / Instituto Iberoamericano de Finlandia, followed by a Data Processing Assistant role at Työttömyysvakuutusrahasto (TVR). In 2016, they held a Junior Adviser role at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland - Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations, as well as a Claims Examiner role at Valtiokonttori (State Treasury of Finland). In 2017, Jaakko began working at Venuu, where they held roles as a Business Developer, Partner Success Team Lead, and Head of Expansion. In their role as Head of Expansion, Jaakko was responsible for ensuring Venuu's growth in international markets, and by 2023 had established a staff of 15 in the Barcelona office.

Jaakko Salonen completed a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki in 2014, after starting in 2010. In 2013 and 2014, they participated in a Bachelor's Exchange at the Universidad Europea in International Relations. In 2015, they completed a Master's Exchange at UCL in the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, and then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki in 2018.
