Benjamin Heywood

Benjamin Heywood is a distinguished venture capital professional serving as General Partner at SkyRiver Ventures since October 2020, focusing on early-stage technologies across North America and Asia. Benjamin co-founded ven^x, Boston's inaugural deep tech VC hub, and has held various influential positions including Member of YPO and Entrepreneurial Mentor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Venture Mentoring Service. Additional roles include Investor at Braingels and Material Evolution, Board Member for the Futures Forge scholarship foundation, and Leadership Board Member at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Benjamin’s entrepreneurial journey began as Co-Founder, President, and Chief Privacy Officer of PatientsLikeMe, a pioneering patient network.
