Alexander Mangas is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in the bioprocess and bioengineering fields. Currently serving as a Commissioning and Qualification Engineer at VEQTOR since March 2023, Alexander previously contributed as a Bioprocess Engineer at Novartis Gene Therapies from April 2019 to March 2023, focusing on manufacturing AVXS-101, a gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy. Earlier roles include leading a team at FSU iGEM to engineer bacteria for gluten intolerance treatment, conducting cancer research as a Research Assistant in Dr. Qing-Xiang Sang's lab, and facilitating the transition to electronic medical records at Pulmonary Physicians of South Florida. Alexander holds a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Florida State University, completed in 2018.
