Nancy Smith

Nancy Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and program management within the nonprofit sector. As the President and Executive Director of Activating Change since June 2022, Nancy drives strategies to promote social impact. Previously, Nancy held various roles at the Vera Institute of Justice, including Center Director for the Center on Victimization and Safety and Project Director for the Accessing Safety Initiative. Nancy also served as Project Director at the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati and had earlier positions with the Community Shelter Board, where responsibilities included Interim Program Specialist and Research Assistant. Nancy possesses a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree, both from The Ohio State University.
