Curtis Whitfill, MS, CFE, CIFI has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Curtis is currently the Vice President - SIU Compliance and CE Programs at VRC Investigations, where they manage and grows the SIU Compliance and Continuing Education platform. Curtis joined VRC in 2019 and has been instrumental in the success of the compliance and training platforms through the development and delivery of VRC's online LMS.

Prior to their current role, Curtis worked at Gallagher Bassett as a Casualty Claims Manager, leading a specialized claims team investigating mild impact collisions with questionable injuries on transit buses, school buses, and other commercial vehicles. Curtis also provided direction and oversight to contracted SIU field investigators and attended depositions, mediations, and trials.

Before joining Gallagher Bassett, Curtis served as the Branch Manager - Forensic Engineering Investigations at Unified Investigations & Sciences, where they oversaw investigation operations in the South Central Region. Curtis focused on ensuring profitable growth, increasing market penetration, and developing existing accounts while hiring and developing a talented team.

Curtis also gained valuable experience at Avis Budget Group, where they held various roles such as Insurance Governance - Senior Business Analyst, Senior Manager - Vehicle Investigation Operations, and SIU Manager - North American Operations. In these roles, they oversaw the transition of claim operations, investigated fraud and other crimes, conducted major crime investigations, and redesigned SIU operations, resulting in significant savings.

Earlier in their career, Curtis worked at USAA, where they served as a Claims Service Manager, SIU Manager, Claims Staff Advisor, and SIU Investigator. Curtis handled a variety of claims, led investigative teams, designed field investigation vendor networks, and supported senior leadership in daily operations and process improvements.

Curtis began their career at the Texas Department of Insurance as a Sgt. Insurance Fraud Investigations, coordinating investigative activities for high-profile financial fraud cases. Curtis also received special recognition from the FBI Director and U.S. Attorney General for their work.

Furthermore, Curtis owned and operated an Investigations & Consulting Services company called Automobile Collision Experts. Curtis provided accident reconstruction services, testified as an expert witness, conducted scene investigations, and performed EUO's on behalf of insurance companies.

Curtis'searly experience includes working as a Police Corporal - Accident Reconstruction at the Lubbock Police Department, where they conducted investigations of fatal and serious injury accidents, police-involved accidents and shootings, homicides, and other detailed scene investigations.

Curtis Whitfill holds a Master of Science in Management degree with a focus on Leadership and Organizational Development from The Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. Curtis obtained this degree, however, the specific start and end years are not provided.
