Scott Simpson

Scott Simpson is the VP, Global Solutions Architecture at Veracode. Prior to joining Veracode, Scott was the Technical Account Manager at Qualys, Inc. from April 2011 to April 2013. In their role at Qualys, Scott evangelized QualysGuard technology and product positioning to business and technical users, identified technical and business issues, and worked as a QualysGuard services subject matter expert in the areas of API integration, Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, and Web Application Scanning. Scott also provided 3rd tier technical support for assigned accounts, identified and developed potential new business opportunities, communicated customer requirements to Product Management, Marketing and Engineering teams, responded to customer questions on technical and business related issues, delivered high-level and detailed sales presentations, and was responsible for presenting and attending conferences, seminars, etc.

Before Qualys, Scott was the Director of Security Consulting Services at Solutionary Inc. from July 2006 to April 2011. In this role, they were responsible for delivery of all consulting projects, managing a team of up to 15 security consultants, and developing new service offerings. Scott also created templates and tools to streamline project processes and improve quality/repeatability of deliverables.

Scott started their career in 2005 as the Manager of Information Security & Network Services Consulting at Sunera LLC. In this role, they managed a team of consultants responsible for delivering network and security assessments, designing secure network architectures, implementing firewall solutions, and developing information security programs.

After graduating from Litchfield High School, Scott Simpson attended Florida Southern College where they earned a degree in Liberal Arts. Scott then went on to the University of Missouri-Columbia where they earned a B.S. in Business Education.

They are on a team with Mark Bissell - Chief Customer Officer, Richard Terry - VP, EMEA, and David Forlizzi - Chief Financial Officer. Their manager is Sam King, CEO.
