Kate Porter

Kate Porter has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent position is as a Marketing Manager at Veracyte, Inc., which they started in April 2022. Prior to that, Kate worked at The Binding Site from 2020 to 2022, first as an Associate Product Manager and then as a Product Manager. Kate also gained experience as an Associate Product Manager at CTK Biotech, Inc. from 2019 to 2020. At The Scripps Research Institute, Kate held the roles of Research Assistant and Research Technician from 2017 to 2019. Before that, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at Poway Unified School District from 2016 to 2017. Kate started their career as a Research Assistant and later became a National Science Foundation REU Coordinator and Graduate Student Lab Teacher at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from 2013 to 2016. Lastly, they served as a Peer Mentor at Northern Arizona University from 2011 to 2013 and worked in Food Service at Casa de las Campanas from 2008 to 2011.

Kate Porter earned their high school diploma from Rancho Bernardo High School in 2009. Kate then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General at Northern Arizona University from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they completed a Master of Science degree in Microbiology, Genetics at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas from 2013 to 2016.
