Lauren McClanahan, J.D., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, PLS, is an accomplished privacy and legal professional with extensive experience in data protection and compliance. As the Community Director at VeraSafe since April 2021, Lauren founded the Community Department to enhance employee development and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while managing internal training on legal regulations. Prior roles include serving as Privacy Counsel and Associate Privacy Counsel, where responsibilities included overseeing privacy compliance for various technology sectors and conducting data privacy assessments. Lauren's background also encompasses roles in technology licensing and legal internships focused on privacy certification and trademark filings, supported by a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Philosophy.
