Simrun Nijjar

Simrun Nijjar began their work experience in 2017 with a one-week work placement at Legal & General, where they shadowed the Development Manager of Build to Let. Simrun gained exposure to various departments, including marketing and HR.

In 2021, Simrun worked as a Floor Staff at Dirty Martini, where they managed bookings, seating arrangements, took orders, served drinks, and cleared tables. Simrun excelled in a high-pressure and energetic environment, trained new staff, and worked seamlessly with the bar and kitchen staff while prioritizing health and safety.

Simrun also worked as a Student Ambassador at The University of Manchester from 2021 to 2022.

Currently, Simrun is employed at Verastar since 2022. Simrun started as a Business Graduate, rotating around different areas of the business and building commercial awareness. Simrun completed a group project on improving cross-selling and presented it to managers. Simrun will also be completing six-month secondments in Marketing and Project Management.

In 2023, Simrun took on the role of Marketing Placement at Verastar, where they designed and constructed effective communications for marketing campaigns, including new business, upsell, cross-sell, and engagement. Simrun was responsible for testing and deploying campaigns using Pardot.

Simrun's most recent role at Verastar is as an Email Marketing Executive - Campaigns, a position they currently hold.

Simrun Nijjar completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The University of Manchester from 2019 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended King Edward VI Handsworth School For Girls from 2012 to 2019, but their degree and field of study during that time are unknown. Simrun also obtained various certifications, including "Content Creation: Strategy and Tools," "Salesforce for Marketers (2018)," "Business Analysis Foundations," "Marketing Analytics: Setting and Measuring KPIs," "Marketing: Conversion Rate Optimization," "SEO: Link Building," "Salesforce Essential Training," and "Project Management Simplified" from LinkedIn in 2023.
