Michael Portman has worked in a variety of roles since 1996. Michael began their career as Creative Director at Allyn Media in 1996. In 1998, they took on the role of Campaign Ghostwriter for President Vicente Fox in Mexico. From 2000, they worked as a Screenwriter by night. In 2003, they became the Executive Speechwriter for The Walt Disney Company. In 2006, they co-founded Birds Barbershop and in 2009, they co-founded Verb Products.
Michael Portman obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from The Johns Hopkins University between 1993 and 1996. Michael has also been awarded numerous certifications from The Austin Chronicle and Inc. Magazine, including "Best of Austin" awards in 2021, 2019, 2018, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2008, and 2007, and "Inc. 500/5000" awards in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, and 2011. Michael was also a finalist for "Entrepreneur of the Year, Central Texas" from EY in 2018.
