Bara Levitt has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2010, they began their career as an Elementary Education Teacher at Teach for America, where they planned and executed lessons in math and social studies, served as a lead teacher in a two-teacher classroom, and contributed to designing a new fourth grade Social Studies curriculum.
In 2012, Bara joined JESNA as a Project Manager, overseeing the Lainer-Masa Fellowship program for aspiring Jewish professionals. This role involved managing an internship, mentorship, conference, and professional development for 18 fellows over a span of three semesters.

Verbit.ai specializes in captioning and transcription services, and Bara's role involves managing customer onboarding processes to deliver accurate transcripts and captions at accelerated turnaround times using AI technology and a human transcriber network.

Bara Levitt obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Columbia University from 2006 to 2010. During the same time frame, they also earned another Bachelor's degree in Jewish Women and Gender Studies from The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS). In 2010 to 2012, they completed the Seton Hall University Alternate Route Certification Program in South New Jersey, which awarded them a New Jersey Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education and Teaching K-5. Their education continued with a Masters in Public Administration in Organizational Leadership from Rutgers University - Newark from 2013 to 2015.
