Software Engineer at Verdant Robotics

Dhaivat Dholakiya has a diverse range of work experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. In 2013, they led the Design Team at Nirma Robocon: University Robotics Society, where they successfully managed tasks and won the title of National Winner at the National Robocon Competition in 2014 and 2015. Dhaivat also represented the Indian National Team twice at ABU Robocon.

In 2017, Dhaivat joined the Robert Bosch Centre for Cyber-Physical Systems @ IISc as a Project Associate and later became a Technical Associate. Dhaivat held these positions until 2019. During this time, they gained valuable experience in technical roles related to robotics.

In 2019, Dhaivat joined the Interactive Robotics Lab at ASU as a Graduate Researcher. Here, they worked on deep learning-based interaction primitives for adaptive exoskeletons. Dhaivat utilized tools such as Python 3.0, Tensorflow 2.0, Tensorflow Probability, Keras, and NumPy. Dhaivat received the MORE Research Grant at ASU for their project.

In 2020, Dhaivat interned as a Robotics Software Engineer at Verdant Robotics, Inc. and later joined the company as a Software Engineer in 2021.

Dhaivat Dholakiya pursued their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering at Nirma University in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India from 2013 to 2017. Following this, they furthered their education by enrolling in the Master of Science (MS) program in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. Their studies at Arizona State University took place from 2019 to 2021.
