Saumil Shah

Saumil Shah has a diverse work experience ranging from software engineering to robotic development. Saumil is currently working as a Software Engineer at Verdant Robotics, Inc. since January 2021. Prior to this role, they were a Robotic Software Developer Intern at the same company from June 2020 to August 2020.

Before joining Verdant Robotics, Saumil worked as an Engineer R&D at Sahajanand Medical Technologies from July 2017 to July 2019. Saumil'sresponsibilities included developing new medical devices, creating Automatic Testing Equipment (ATE), and designing special purpose machines to enhance in-house productivity. Saumil also worked on developing a deep learning-based visual inspection system.

Saumil also has experience as an intern at SVNIT Surat during the summer of 2015. Additionally, they participated in the ABU Robocon, an international robotic contest organized by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, from August 2014 to March 2015.

Saumil Shah completed a Master's degree in Robotics at the University of Maryland from 2019 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from S V National Institute of Technology, Surat, graduating in 2017. Saumil Shah's education began at Smt V. D. Desai (Wadiwala) High School, where they completed their high school education from 2007 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Saumil Shah earned certifications in "Statistics and R" from edX in December 2018 and "Deep Learning with Python and PyTorch" from edX in November 2018.
