David Knight has over 20 years of work experience in various engineering roles. David is currently the Engineering Manager at Verdel Instruments, where they joined as the first full-time employee. David played a key role in establishing the start-up and developed a unique product and software.
Prior to Verdel Instruments, David worked at Infinitesima Limited for 10 years, starting as an R&D Engineer and later becoming the Technology Transfer Manager. David was part of the team that developed the groundbreaking Atomic Force Microscope known as RPM.
During their time at Williams F1, David worked as an R&D Engineer and was also involved in a tech spin-out project called WHP, focused on Hybrid technology.
Before that, they worked at Teledyne Reynolds Inc as an Engineering Technician in the aerospace industry. David also has experience as a Build Technician at SCHLEIFRING SYSTEMS LIMITED, a Production Engineer at Western Aerospace Launch Initiative (WALI), and a Fibre Optics Technician at PerkinElmer Optoelectronics.
David started their career as an Engineering Technician at Alrad Instruments Ltd, where they participated in their apprenticeship program in Electronic Engineering.
David Knight attended Newbury College from 1997 to 1999 where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. David then attended Bracknell & Wokingham College from 1999 to 2001 to further their studies in the same field. From 2007 to 2011, they attended Newbury College again, this time focusing on Electrical and Power Transmission Installation/Installer, General. Additionally, they pursued specialized courses at the University of Portsmouth, completing IPC620 Inspection and Specialist as well as European Space, Manufacturing and Engineering, eesa, though the specific dates are not provided.
