Femke Haijtema

Femke Haijtema currently serves as the Directeur-bestuurder at Museum Gouda since March 2022 and is a bestuurslid at Vereniging Rembrandt and a Board Member of ICOM Nederland, both since June and May 2023 respectively. Previously, Femke held significant roles at the Mondriaan Fonds from January 2019 to December 2023, focusing on visual arts and cultural heritage, and served as voorzitter at LinC alumnivereniging Club LinC from November 2019 to February 2023. Early career highlights include serving as Director of Exhibitions and Public Affairs at Fries Museum & Keramiekmuseum Princessehof, and holding various marketing and communication roles at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and Rembrandt House Museum. Femke Haijtema earned a Doctorandus degree in Sociology from the University of Amsterdam between 1996 and 2002, following a VWO degree from SSG Leeuwarden from 1989 to 1995.
