Gareth Roberts

Gareth Roberts is an experienced mechanical engineer with a robust background in propulsion systems and electric drive technologies. Currently serving as Head of Propulsion at Verge Motorcycles since January 2024, Gareth previously provided expertise as an E-Motors expert witness consultant at E Motors Expert Ltd. and held positions as Chief Technology Officer and Product Manager at Edge Mobility (Stealth). Prior experience includes managerial roles at Dyson and Protean Electric, focusing on electric drives, and leading design efforts at Southwest Research Institute and Ricardo. Gareth's early career includes significant contributions at Ford Motor Company and Ricardo, specializing in powertrain systems and advanced engineering analyses. Educational qualifications consist of a Master of Science in Automotive Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire, and degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering from the University of Brighton and University of Staffordshire, respectively.
