Karen Mahoney

Karen Mahoney is an accomplished human resources executive with extensive experience in leading HR organizations and talent strategies across various companies. Currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Vericel® Corporation since July 2024, Mahoney previously held the role of CHRO at Abiomed, Inc. from 2017 until its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson MedTech in 2022. Mahoney has a proven track record in building talent access teams and enhancing employee branding initiatives. Prior to their tenure at Abiomed, Mahoney was the Global Talent Leader at PerkinElmer, Inc. from 2001 to 2017, where Karen led a significant transformation of talent strategy. Mahoney holds a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management from Assumption University and an MBA from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School.
