Girish Kharat

Girish Kharat has a diverse work experience in the field of database administration. Girish started their career in 1999 as an Oracle Database Administrator/Developer in CMC LTD. Girish then worked as a Database Administrator in Patni Computers Systems Limited in 2003. In 2004, Girish worked as a Senior Database Administrator in iFlexsolutions Ltd(Citicorp India Ltd) and later as an Oracle Database Administrator Consultant in ADP.

From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Performance Lead/Senior Oracle Database Administrator in GE Energy. Girish then joined CNSI in 2006 as a Lead DBA/Senior Oracle Database Administrator, where they collaborated with clients, facilitated targeted delivery of standard operating procedures, and resolved customer challenges. Girish also provided DBA training to the client's team, improving their efficiency and reducing ad-hoc work requests.

Since 2011, Girish has been working at Verisign as a Lead Oracle Database Administrator. In this role, they have led various initiatives including process re-engineering, cost-saving projects, and innovation in reporting solutions. Girish'scontributions include deploying task automation using Ansible playbooks, replacing expensive storage arrays, and implementing a disaster recovery solution. Girish Kharat has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in General Management from Virginia Tech - Pamplin College of Business. Girish also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from Mumbai University. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Real Application Clusters 11g and Grid Infrastructure Administrator from Oracle in 2011, Oracle Certified Professional - Oracle 9i Database Administrator (OCP) from Oracle in 2004, and Personal Software Process (PSP) certified Engineer from the Software Engineering Institute | Carnegie Mellon University in 2000.
