Olof Rännbäck-Garpinger has a diverse work experience. Olof started their career as a Ph.D. student at Lund University in 2005, specializing in optimal design of robust PID controllers with limited noise sensitivity. After completing their Ph.D., they continued as a researcher at the university, deriving optimal controllers for benchmark models in the process industry and updating their own Matlab-based toolbox for control design. In 2010, Olof joined Alten Sweden as a Control and Data Analysis Consultant, where they worked on analyzing and controlling the friction stir welding process for the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company.
