Susan Cassidy, MBA, CPHR

Susan Cassidy, MBA, CPHR has over 30 years of experience in human resources and labor relations. Susan is currently the Principal at Susan Cassidy HR Consulting Inc., where they provide HR and labor relations consulting services to leaders and negotiates collective agreements on behalf of management.

In addition, they are the Director of Workplace/Human Resources Investigations at Veritas Solutions, specializing in harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, and discrimination investigations. Susan also provides HR and labor relations consulting to leaders of organizations.

Prior to their current roles, Susan served as the Vice President of People Culture & Learning at the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) from 2008 to 2020. Before AER, they held executive positions at Calgary Health Region, where they served as the Executive Director of Workforce Strategies and Executive Director of Employee Relations and Wellness.

Susan has also worked as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary and as the Vice-President of Human Resources at Calgary Laboratory Services. Earlier in their career, they held managerial and directorial positions at Calgary District Hospital Group and served as a Personnel Officer at the Alberta Government Solicitor General's Department.

Throughout their career, Susan has demonstrated their expertise in HR consulting, labor relations, workplace investigations, and people management.

Susan Cassidy, MBA, CPHR obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Calgary, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Industrial Relations at The University of Alberta, from 1978 to 1982. In 2020, Susan pursued additional education and training by attending Rubin Thomlinson, where they received certification in conducting Workplace Investigations. Susan also undertook further education at Veritas Solutions, specializing in the same field of study without a specified end year.
