Gaurav K. has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Gaurav is currently serving as a Vice President at Veritas Technologies LLC since 2022. Before that, they worked at Carbonite, acquired by OpenText, as a Vice President from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, Gaurav held the position of Vice President, Cloud Storage and Data Management at EMC from 2013 to 2017. Gaurav played a key role in building the SAAS data management product and platform and improving the SLA of SMB data backup services.

During their tenure at Symantec from 2002 to 2013, Gaurav held multiple roles, including Vice President, Enterprise Data Products, Senior Director, Engineering, Director, Network and Security, and Technical Director; Product Owner, Data Protection Group. Gaurav led enterprise data protection teams, improved product quality and release cadence, and achieved significant market share growth. Gaurav was also involved in building hybrid backup product lines, leading network and security teams, and creating a security platform for multi-tenant identity management.

Before their time at Symantec, Gaurav worked at Shasta IP Services (eventually Nortel) as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented security protocols and VPN infrastructure for data center networking products. Gaurav also made the security stack inter-operate with various telecommunication frameworks. Gaurav started their career at CMC LTD as a Network and Security Engineer and Product Owner.
