James Jones

James Jones, MSCS, is an experienced technology strategist and business developer with a demonstrated history of leadership in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Associate Director of Technology Strategy & Business Development at Verizon since June 2019, James focuses on exploring technological applications across various network and product lines. Prior to Verizon, James held multiple director-level positions at Nokia, where responsibilities included defining new wireless technologies, establishing M2M/IoT business strategies, and managing small cell deployment. James's earlier career at Lucent Technologies Bell Labs involved leading a wireless systems engineering team. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Purdue University, along with a business strategy seminar from emlyon business school.
