Joseph M. Ruggiero

Joseph M. Ruggiero is a seasoned legal executive currently serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Verizon Consumer Group, where leadership encompasses the Consumer legal team and support for various business units including Sales and Customer Experience. Previous roles at Verizon include General Counsel for Global Products & Solutions and SVP of Public Policy & Legal Affairs for the West region, as well as Vice President & General Counsel for the West Area. Joseph's early career involved serving as Assistant General Counsel at Verizon and working as an Intellectual Property/Litigation Attorney at Arnold & Porter. In addition to their corporate roles, Joseph has contributed to various boards, including the UC Irvine Cybersecurity Policy & Research Institute and California Chamber of Commerce. Joseph holds a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Richmond.
