Julissa McClean

Julissa McClean is a communications expert with extensive experience in corporate communications, employee engagement, and strategic HR messaging. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Employee Engagement in Corporate Communications at Verizon since May 2017, Julissa focuses on amplifying employee voices to a large audience through multimedia storytelling. Previous roles include Manager of HR Communications, where campaigns centered on culture-building and career growth were developed, and work as a Senior Marketing Operations Analyst, leading communication efforts for major consumer audiences. Julissa has also held positions such as Editor-in-Chief at WholeFoods Magazine, Content Manager at DiversityInc, and Communications Manager at HITN. Additionally, Julissa worked as a freelance writer and editor for various prominent publications. Julissa holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production from The New School, along with a certification in Spanish translation from New York University.
