Jean Mikhail

Jean Mikhail is an experienced online news editor currently working as an Online-CvD and Redakteur in the newsroom at Verlag Der Tagesspiegel since August 2025. Prior to this role, Jean held various positions at Welt from May 2016 to July 2025, including managing editor for paid content and stand-in for the head of the news department, showcasing skills in breaking news handling, content curation, and election content management. Jean's journalistic journey began with a voluntary training at FreeTech Academy and continued with freelance work as a film journalist, as well as roles in press assistance and radio journalism. Jean holds a Master of Arts in Modern History from the University of Potsdam and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
